Protect Yourself

The first umbrellas were developed by the Egyptians over 3000 years ago for protection from the sun; the Chinese nobility used leather umbrellas to keep the rain off and the French aristocracy were never without a parasol. With the passing of time, the umbrella has become part of our everyday set of items that protect us from the elements.

And of course the innovations for umbrellas are not just ancient history; folding umbrellas came along in 1928 and more recently with newer lighter materials, better, finer movements are possible. We now have the “wind proof” umbrella! In the last 10 years, we have seen fans added to umbrellas to keep you cool, and inverted umbrellas to keep the rain and water off you when you close your umbrella.  In short, anything is possible.

Talk to us about the latest innovations to suit your brand.

Reverse Umbrella

  • This umbrella is a great feat of engineering, intelligent design and innovation – solving the problem of what to do with your wet umbrella very easily
  • The reverse umbrella opens inside out! This leaves the wet side of the canopy contained on the inside when closed. It is therefore dry to handle and can be placed on surfaces without them getting wet
  • Getting in and out of your car in the rain is not a problem as you can close the umbrella into the smallest gap of a car door, whilst remaining dry

Any residual water can be retained within the canopy until it is convenient to shake it out and allow it to dry.

Umbrella Fan

  • Keep yourself dry and cool with the built in fan!
  • Did you know, in a recent study*, umbrellas were identified as the branded item that is kept the longest, at around 14 months.  In comparison, powerbanks and calendars are kept for 12 months, USBs for 8 months and a pen is retained (or lost) within 6 months. One of the reasons for the staying power of these items is it’s usefulness and it’s perceived value.
